90s – Cloud 90

Cloud 90 is a sophisticated, harmony-driven power trio that delivers a masterclass in nineties alternative and pop-rock. Comprised of three seasoned Nashville-based musicians, the band is dedicated to faithfully re-creating the melodic, guitar-centric anthems that defined the decade’s airwaves. While many tributes focus on the gritty distortion of grunge, Cloud 90 shines a spotlight on the exceptional songwriting and infectious melodies of signature acts like Counting Crows, Oasis, Gin Blossoms, and Fastball, performing each track with a deep reverence for the original artists.

The sheer scale of the Cloud 90 sound is a testament to the band’s technical ingenuity. Despite being a trio, they utilize stereo stage amplification, layered guitar effects, and live keyboard simulation to achieve the lush, expansive textures of a five-piece ensemble. Crucially, the band maintains total musical integrity by performing 100% live—no pre-recorded tracks or samples are ever used. This raw, authentic approach allows their unbridled enthusiasm to resonate with audiences, striking a perfect balance between crowd-pleasing hits and “forgotten treasures” that leave fans both entertained and pleasantly surprised.

The pedigree of the musicians behind Cloud 90 is world-class. Frontman and bassist Tom Glynn is a John Lennon Songwriting Contest winner who has shared stages with the Goo Goo Dolls and Norah Jones, while guitarist Alex Blizniak is a Berklee College of Music graduate with an extensive background in commercial production. Completing the rhythm section is drummer Mark Allee, a Musicians Institute alumnus who has performed alongside legends like John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, and Sammy Hagar. This collective experience ensures a level of “top-of-their-game” musicianship rarely seen on the tribute circuit.

From the anthemic “Wall of Sound” of Oasis’ “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova” to the jangly, upbeat energy of Toad the Wet Sprocket and The Lemonheads, the band’s setlist is a curated celebration of a golden era of songwriting. Whether they are delivering the soaring hooks of Vertical Horizon or the atmospheric brilliance of Radiohead’s “High & Dry,” Cloud 90 provides a premium, high-fidelity experience. They are the definitive choice for theaters, festivals, and elite events seeking a polished, professional tribute to the music that made the 90s an unforgettable chapter in rock history.
