“The series of Rock concerts “Rock sur la montagne” was back on Saturday evening after its summer hiatus. The spectators were struck by a powerful electric shock during this evening tribute to AC/DC. At the stroke of 8 p.m., the Hell’s Bell bell rang at the Mont Arthabaska pavilion. As a first set, In of the band 21 Gun Salute performed the Back in Black album in its entirety. This album, which was released in 1980, has sold more than 50 million copies to become the second best seller of all time after Michael Jackson’s Thriller. From the very first notes, the audience was struck by the shear professionalism of the five members of 21 Gun Salute. There are several bands that pay homage to AC/DC, but this one is in a class of its own. It perfectly reproduced the high-intensity rock’n’roll that made the Australian band famous. Throughout the evening, people gathered in front of the stage to feel the intense energy deployed by the musicians. Like Angus Young, guitarist Johnny Vette wore a school uniform, and he mimed his gestures while chaining the iconic guitar riffs. With his British style news boy cap, singer Mimmo Oli reminded us of Brian Johnson both physically and vocally. The rhythm section made up of guitarist Fred Di Santo, Tony Guerrera on bass and Bob Telaro on drums was dead on solid.
