Alan Jackson – Gone Country USA

Scott Alan Jones grew up listening to mom and dad sing old country songs on the radio from the back seat and quickly began joining them at a very young age. HIS childhood was filled with traditional American sports until I reached high school where I set my intention to rodeo. From 81-86 bull riding was my focus. He made the high school rodeo finals my junior year finishing in 13th place out of over 600 kids. His senior year he finished 5th and qualified for the Texas State Finals. The Rodeo opened new doors to new friends that introduced him to the Dallas music scene and the rest is history. He formed a band called Six Gun and proceeded to play at bars, venues, and parties in Dallas TX from 91-94. In 1995 he joined a heavy metal band Double Cross traveling across the US writing songs and trying to get signed to a label. After 2 years of Roman Noodles, countless breakdowns, and trashy hotels he decided to get married, raise kids, and learn the skills of repairing computers. Music was still his passion so “Haywire” was created in 2009 then “Swift Justice” was formed in 2010-2020. During that time the tribute band scene in Dallas took over and were making top dollars for their performances. So he and David Simpson, his guitarist in Swift Justice formed “Gone Country”, a tribute to the music of Alan Jackson in 2020. Alan is a country music legend and fans adore him. Together they wanted to do a tribute to Alan who finds himself pushing the threshold of tour retirement due to health conditions more and more. Alan’s music is true country music which bring back those days with mom and dad singing those solid gold classics. I’ll continue to keep the traditional country sound and values Alan writes about in his songs alive as long as I can.
