Disco – The Boom Shaka Lakas
The Boom Shaka Lakas are made up of some of Toronto’s finest veteran musicians. Known for their high-energy shows with costuming, choreography and 4-part harmonies they are a sight and sound to behold. After playing the Beaches Jazz Fest and various soft-seat theatres across Southern Ontario, as well as iconic Toronto venues such as the Opera House, Parkdale Hall and The El Mocambo, The Boom Shaka Lakas know how to bring the Boogie.
Their stage antics can include everything from visual artists, roller boogie dancers, 70’s throwback and lame stunt performer: Feeble Knievil, DJs and even fireballs. You’ll hear the good stuff: early funky Disco straight out of the Philly Soul and NYC Disco scenes. When the Boom Shaka Lakas are in the house be ready to Boogie!
