Latin Show – Sugar Heat
Sugar Heat is Canada’s most acclaimed Latin Top-40 show band, based in Toronto and created in 2006. Founder and front-person, Mexican-born Jay Vazquez (vocals and guitar) has been named the “Canadian Carlos Santana” by the Toronto Sun. A true Latin-crossover Canadian band, it features a multicultural group of performers with backgrounds from Uruguay, Colombia, El Salvador, Quebec and the Canadian West-coast. These performers bring the best of both worlds to an exciting musical fusion.
The result is an explosive superband that recreates the best moments in Latino-American music, beginning with Gloria Estafan and Miami Sound Machine and taking you on a journey through the best Latin top 40 artists of today, including Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Shakira, J-Lo, and Pit Bull. Sugar Heat also pays tribute to the classics, and you can expect to hear songs from the greats like the legendary Celia Cruz, Carlos Santana, and Selena the queen of Tex-Mex, as well as popular American songs performed with a unique hot Latin twist. Sugar Heat will heat up the stage with non-stop Latin beats played by a full percussion and rhythm section, full horn section, and male and female singers.
